The August meeting of the First State Brewers was held at the home of Marty Drinan. Marty had the steam heated brewing system going with a wheat ale. The mash was lautered and sparged during the meeting with boiling being done the next day. The new fermenter cooler kept the batch at 65.5-68.5 degrees during fermentation.

The September meeting of the First State Brewers will be held at the home of Scott Bieber this Friday, 9/16/11, at 7:30 pm.

Scott has 7 different kegs on tap, including his award-winning Pumplin Ale! :-) (Please help me kick some of the kegs so I can brew more!)

Directions:
From I95, take Rt. 896 south, cross the canal bridge and pass the Summit Airport.

Turn Left at the intersection with the Happy Harry’s and Exxon Station on the left. That remains Rt. 896 (aka Boyd’s Corner Rd.)

After about a half mile, Take the first left onto Ratledge Rd.

Then in a few hundred yards, turn left on Crystal Run Dr. going into our development (Crystal Run Farms).
Take the 2nd left onto our street (Lennox Dr.)

Our house is #7 which is straight ahead at the end of the cul-de-sac.
