The December meeting of the First State Brewers was held at the home of Brian Verdine & Moriah Guise.
On Thursday, 12/12, four members of FSB were guests on the local radio program “Thirsty Thursdays” hosted by WDEL’s own Rick Jensen. Scott Bieber, Brian Light, Ralph Barthold, and Amy Bullard represented the club. This is something that Rick would like to do quarterly, with the next session having a focus on gluten free beers. If anyone has any expertise in this area of brewing, please contact Brian Light to coordinate for next time!
Club officer elections took place with the following results:
- President – Brian Light
- Vice President – Ralph Barthold
- Treasurer – Chuck McKenna
- Secretary – Moriah Guise
Congratulations officers!
Chuck McKenna is in the process of organizing another Siebel Off Flavor Tasting in February. If you missed the last one, here’s another chance! The tasting will be held on Monday, February 10th at 6:00 PM at Klondike Kate’s in Newark, DE. The cost will be $35 per person, with minimum of 12 people. If you are interested please get in touch with Chuck ASAP to pay for your ticket. The cost of the kit is going up by a significant amount after the new year so Chuck would like to purchase it before then. There is a maximum of 20 people for this event, so don’t wait to sign up or you will likely miss out – the last tasting was sold out. Chuck created an event on Facebook – check there for details! The address for Klondike Kate’s is 158 East Main Street, Newark, DE.
