Jan 2010

The December meeting of the First State Brewers was held at the home of Marty Drinan. Marty was gracious to agree to host the meeting at the last minute, as Jeff Ramberg was sick and was not able to host as scheduled. I hope Jeff is feeling better!

A nice crowd was on had as usual along with some interesting beers to sample. One notable brew in particular was a Chamomile Vanilla Wheat by Tammy Letcher. Tammy was generous to share her recipe on our forum here: https://firststatebrewers.com/forum/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=30.0

Once again, Marty gave us a tour of his basement brewery with his unique steam-powered all-grain system. Marty had a brown ale fermenting in the back with a jacket covering the carboy. I named it “Brownie”!
